The Jack Miner Migratory Bird Foundations requires one student to fill the position of Museum Assistant at $17.00 per hours for 10 weeks from July-August 2022. Student will be required to work 35 hours per week that will include weekdays weekends and some evenings.

Main Duties:

1. Develop Museum exhibits and programming by selecting relevant museum artifacts, newspaper articles and photographs to demonstrate a specific topic
2. Develop concise exhibit, education, and promotional literature
3. Organize and catalogue museum resources
4. Create education activities, interactive components, literature and education resource kids to accompany exhibit
5. Assist with administrative and general housekeeping duties
6. Assist with events and festivals

Qualifications:

1. A valid Ontario’s driver’s license
2. A current police clearance
3. Be a student aged 20-30 who was full-time student in the previous academic year and who will be returning to full time studies in the fall
4. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
5. Must be registered with the Young Canada Works online candidate inventory and meet all other eligibility criteria set out by the Young Canada Works program
