Our Educational Tours

The Jack Miner Migratory Bird Sanctuary offers students and faculty a unique, educational experience by offering the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while learning about the local wildlife and history of Essex County in a casual and enjoyable atmosphere.

All tours are free (donations are always welcome) and offer a one hour, one-on-one, tour of the grounds. Knowledgeable staff offers exciting information about each of the attractions and the rich history of the Sanctuary.

While here, students can feed the birds, visit the Jack Miner Museum, view the catching net and see the Jack and Laona Miner burial grounds. Knowledgeable staff offers exciting information about each of the attractions and the rich history of the Sanctuary.

Please book in advance for weekday personal guided group tours. Appropriate footwear and outerwear are recommended for visits to the Sanctuary.
