Hundreds of species of birds have been recorded in the Essex County area, which makes the Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary an idea location for birdwatchers from all over the world.
For birdwatchers interested in waterfowl, our grounds are like no other in North America and offer a variety of ducks, geese and swans to be viewed. A rare barnacle goose is often present in the main pond, and bobolinks can be found in the nearby pasture field as well.
Our pens hold exotic Goldens, Yellow Goldens, Lady Amhersts and Silver Pheasants as well as peacocks and wild turkeys.
Admission is always free but donations are always appreciated, so spend the afternoon and enjoy what The Jack Miner Migratory Bird Foundation has to offer.
